Toronto misses you: Life for me in the City has always been contra to the expanses of East Africa - I have found peace in its vibrancy but often been troubled in convincing others of this, given what I know of the world. I have found no lies or exceptions in the jungles or savannahs of Kenya - love is best understood at sunset or sunrise in Meru National Park... Experience devoid of other people's headspace; the world can be calm and true.
Saturdays start with {fancy} cereal
Toronto misses you: Blackberries, organic yoghurt, honey and super high fibre muesli [with coconut!!!]
Sketchy car (AGO & OCAD in background)
Toronto misses you: On my way to sushi lunch @ Ema Tei with Mark we noticed this sketchy car - its boot had been shut on a jacket, its gas tank cover was open and yes, the license plate ended in '514.' :)
Vegetable shopping on Spadina ave
Toronto misses you: Ladies enjoy a warm day in the sun, digging through huge boxes of veggies at a Chinese grocer on Manning and Spadina.
2019: a DemoCamp Geek Odyssey
Toronto misses you: technologists gather to ponder the products and the general state of things in the year 2019 at DemoCamp (held @ the Canadian Corps Association on Niagara st. just south of King st.)
North Borden Building on Spadina Crescent, U of T
Toronto misses you: Aware of the shortening days, I thought to scoot up Spadina after eating a wonderul lunch @ Ravisoup and snap some pics at the University of Toronto before heading back to the office.
The aftermath of Toronto's Christmas parade; families overrun Yonge st
Toronto misses you: whilst walking to the Nespresso boutique to grab some pods, I came across an unusual sight - thousands of families zombie-ing around Yonge st which had been closed off through the early afternoon for Toronto's Santa/x-mass parade [in November?!?!].
Friday morning cappuccino at home
Toronto misses you: the greatest pleasure of living in a city is often starting the day at home with a warm mug of deliciousness.
